Ableton Live 10 Not Working With Mac Os 10.14.5
Recently, several pro-audio manufacturers and interface manufacturers have issued warnings to customers advising them not to upgrade their operating software, presumably due to compatibility issues with the new OS. Other companies have issued announcements referencing possible delays in supporting the new operating system, or even loss of data. Sep 30, 2019 For this review, I tested Ableton Live Suite 10.1 on a MacBook Pro 15-inch with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD running macOS 10.14.5 Mojave, along with a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 (Second Gen) audio. Live 10.0.6 and higher is fully functional with Mojave. Although it is not officially compatible, Ableton Live 10.0.6 is fully functional with macOS 10.14 Mojave. Live 9 is not compatible. For more information, read through this support article on Ableton’s Knowledge Base. MacOS Compatibility. Ableton Support Page. Fully compatible! DrumCore 4 Lite is available as a download. Compare DC4 Editons. See DrumCore 4 special offers listed in the Sonoma Newsletter throughout the year! DC4 Compatibility List Updated: DrumCore 4.3.4 works with macOS 10.14.5 (Mojave), Pro Tools 2019.5, Logic Pro 10.4.4, DP 10, Studio One 4, Live 10.1 and more →. Connecting the keyboard to my MacBook Air with macOS 10.14.5 (Mojave) the lights work, but the OS doesn't seem to recognise the keyboard at all - not recognised as MIDI input in the system, not in Logic nor Ableton Live either. I've tried resetting my MIDI Studio setup, same issue.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, October 3, 2019 – RME, German manufacturer of premium interfaces, announced today that its interfaces are already compatible with the latest macOS Catalina 10.15.x which was released this month. Since RME drivers are written in-house and not outsourced to third party developers, RME’s users are able to update their firmware immediately and continue working without interruption or delay.
Recently, several pro-audio manufacturers and interface manufacturers have issued warnings to customers advising them not to upgrade their operating software, presumably due to compatibility issues with the new OS. Other companies have issued announcements referencing possible delays in supporting the new operating system, or even loss of data.
RME Users Rest Easy
RME interfaces compatible with Catalina include: Babyface Pro, Digiface AVB, Digiface Dante, Digiface USB, Fireface 802, Fireface UC, Fireface UCX, Fireface UFX II, Fireface UFX+, MADIface Pro, MADIface USB and the MADIface XT. Aria player download. Apps must be fully 64-bit and drivers should be “notarized” as required for operation with Catalina OS 10.15.x.
RME’s non-USB interfaces, including the PCle, Thunderbolt and FireWire, have beta drivers available for download now so its customers do not experience interruption or delay in their projects.
No Third-Party Drivers
Since RME writes all of its drivers in-house and does not depend on third parties for this process, its hardware is able to stay ahead of operating system updates.
“One of the cornerstones of our company has always been customer support and dependability,” commented Derek Badala, Director of Sales, Americas, for Synthax, RME’s U.S. distributor. “We are proud to say that all of our drivers are written in house — unlike many of our competition. Further, updates are automatically handled by FPGA technology, which is present in all our interfaces. The combination of these things — along with our known product dependability — means that our customers will continue to experience superior performance without interruption.”

The background processes I can identify as problematic are:
-Ableton Index — CPU readings up to 90% but usually only for 20 seconds after starting Live 10;
-backupd-helper/mediaanalysisd/photoanalysisd/Photos Agent — I assume these are related…they can be running anywhere from 30% up to 140% according to Activity Monitor;
-kernel_task — I’ve seen it reach 350% twice and 800% twice in Activity Monitor — it only happens when running Live 10 — I think this is the main problem.
Some other things:
-I had a 2011 iMac connected as an external display via Thunderbolt. Removing it seems to have temporarily improved the situation today but I've also had problems without it being connected;
-I do use a complex aggregate device consisting of 5 or 6 audio devices that operate at different sample rates (either 44.1 or 48kHz)— but they work together fine — until they stop working fine;
-I’ve had problems in the past with Automatic Graphics switching activated…it’s off now.
