Jan 10, 2020  hey, this is a late reply. Just purchased a 2018 Mac Mini i7-6 Core/ 8GB ddr4 Ram/ 512SSD/ Intel graphics. I’ve been getting CPU spikes on very non-taxing things. 1 instance of Ableton Wavetable + Soundtoys echoboy is at about 18%. It runs much quicker than my last iMac 3.2 GHZ Quad-Core i5, but it seems unusual to have spikes this large.
